SWHAP 2009 Achievement Award

For the second year, the SWHAP is introducing an Achievement Award to encourage and reward successful and innovative workplace initiatives. The aim is to further company and trade union commitment at the workplace level to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS and alleviate the effects of the HIV pandemic. The SWHAP hopes to inspire companies to amplify their efforts to become spearheads in combating HIV and AIDS.


All SWHAP workplaces that wish to nominate themselves for the award should contact the SWHAP national programme coordinator and submit the evaluation form by no later than noon 15 September 2009. The evaluation form has been developed together with Aids Accountability International as part of their business ranking initiative. To download the questionnaire click here. The questionnaire has been developed in collaboration with AIDS Accountability International (AAI), as a pilot study that is part of AAI’s initiative to develop an AIDS Accountability Business Ranking.

Shortlisted workplaces will subsequently be interviewed by the SWHAP Board on the 14 October. The winner will be announced at the SWHAP annual conference and the prize ceremony will take place at a ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden,on 1 December 2009.
