SWHAP 2010 Achievement Award
For the third time, SWHAP is organizing an Achievement Award. This year, there are four categories: Most Comprehensive Workplace Programme; Best Progress in Workplace Programming; Most Innovative Intervention and Peer Educator Achievement. The criteria for the awards can be found below. In particular the criteria for the Most Comprehensive Workplace Programme can also be used as a self-assessment tool for workplaces.
The winner of the Award for Most Comprehensive Programme 2010 was Atlas Copco South Africa for the second consecutive year, whereas Babcock South Africa won the Award for Best Progress and SKF Revco Zimbabwe won the category of Most Innovative Intervention. The winners of the Peer Educator Achievement Award for Eastern Africa were: Charles Manyama, Raffia Bags, Tanzania and Christine Mwai, Amazon Motors, Kenya; for Southern Africa: Sympathy Chikukwa, Scanlink, Zimbabwe and Brightson Kyapula, Dyno Nobel, Zambia and for South Africa: Phillip Poshwa, Tetra Pak, South Africa.
