In November 2009, SWHAP was launched in Namibia, where the Legal Assistance Centre (LAC) assists SWHAP in implementing the programme. The companies so far engaged in the programme are: ABB, Atlas Copco, Auto Sueco and Scania/Truck Namibia. In October 2010, the first Peer Educator Network meeting was held. The three partners have sensitised management, trained Peer Educators as well as committees and developed workplace policies. The partners are networking on a local level and also participate in wider SWHAP network conferences. Some partners have arranged for workplace VCT and one partner has recorded 100% VCT uptake with post test support offered to affected employees.
