SAAB South Africa signs a memorandum of agreement on the HIV/AIDS workplace programme

"I am delighted to inform you that SAAB South Africa (Pty) Ltd, in partnership with the Swedish Workplace HIV/AIDS Programme (SWHAP) has signed a memorandum of agreement for the establishment of a comprehensive workplace programme 2009-2010" , says Mr. Riaz Saloojee, CEO at Saab South Africa. "The programme is part of our employee health and wellness strategy. As a result, we are investing time, money and resources on initiatives aimed at educating and caring for our employees, and the communities they are living”, Mr. Saloojee continues.

Saab South Africa will be the first participant in the SWHAP implementing a SANS16001:2007 HIV and AIDS workplace management system standard launched in July 2007 by South African Bureau of Standards. The same process system management requirements as for any ISO certification are a prerequisite. The committee driving the programme is shown in the photo.
